Budd Shirtmakers: A Bespoke Denim Shirt

Budd Bespoke Denim Shirt

We think of denim shirts as casual, beat-up, faded casual wear, so a bespoke denim shirt would seem a contradiction in terms. However, I've just had one made by Budd Shirtmakers and it's been a great success. Being denim, it's versatile enough to be wearable as both a casual shirt and something more formal.

Below I wear the shirt with blazer and flannels, a corduroy suit, a tweed jacket and you can even go double denim and wear it with jeans.

if you want to try double denim that works too, as it looks great with jeans with a blazer and tie:

The denim for the shirt is woven by Thomas Mason in Italy from two-fold indigo dyed cotton. It is washed for a soft handle, that gets better and softer the more wash and wear it gets - as I'm discovering. Naturally the shirt (cut by James MacAuslan) fits perfectly and is beautifully made.

See Budd Shirtmakers. If you don't already do so, please follow Grey Fox Blog on Instagram.

The denim shirt was gifted to me for review by Budd. Otherwise this feature is unsponsored.
