Since it was founded it has sold over 30,000 shirts to 80 countries through its interactive store at www.apposta.com. They offered to make me a couple of shirts and on going online I noticed the vast choice of cloths available. Apposta has partnerships with the world’s top shirt fabric producers such as DJ Anderson, Thomas Mason of
the Albini group, Canclini and Monti. All this means that varying types and quality of fabric, patterned or plain with different weaves, softness and look, can be selected from a choice of some 3000. There is plenty of information about each cloth to help your choice.
One of the company's founders, Gianmarco Taccaliti, is a fourth generation shirtmaker so the Italian shirt manufacturing expertise and pedigree is certainly evident It would be possible to use the choices available to have a shirt made from to thousands of fabrics to your precise requirements using the Italian shirtmaking skills and traditions.

Apposta shirts come in a huge variety of cloths - the cuts and details are almost unlimited in choice |
Shirts can be ordered to standard sizes (which I did) or customised by entering your measurements online (the process is very straightforward) and in either case are then manufactured for you. There is further choice of details of fit, cut, collar and cuffs, buttons, sleeve length, pockets and so on.
Being a man who likes a good stripe I ordered two shirts cut the same but with different cloths, one slightly finer than the other. The ordering process is simple and surprisingly quick. Although I ordered just before a summer break the shirts arrived within two weeks - the target time aimed at by Apposta. The shirts arrived well-packaged and fitted as well as I would expected of those ordered on size alone. I've no doubt that customised fits would be perfect and I suggest you try that as the price is no different to simply ordering your usual size - it enables you to achieve that perfect fit.
The total cost of my shirts would have been 238 Euros; reasonable for a made to measure customised shirt with the high quality fabrics that I selected. Depending on shirt and cloth, prices range from around 70 Euros. The results are pictured here and I'd certainly order from them again. To create your shirt go to Apposta's website here.
This was a paid collaboration and the shirts were gifted.
