Billingham Bags 25 Rucksack: Made in England

One of the bits of kit I was keen to take on my trip to Antarctica was a padded and weather resistant camera rucksack. There are plenty available, but I wanted to revisit a favourite British brand, Billingham, whose Hadley and Weekender bags I use for weekend a day trips away. What I like about them is their robustness, the use of natural materials like canvas, brass and leather and their 'contemporary yet traditional' designs.

The Billingham 25 Rucksack provided padded storage for my Fuji DSLR and lens, a small Lumix compact camera and various items like gloves, a small quilted jacket, passport, spare batteries etc etc. I used it for trips ashore in a Zodiac (often wet and cold) and the added protection to the zip meant that water ingress was never a problem. It was comfortable to wear and the removable padding gives the 25 rucksack much wider use than merely as a camera sack. Overall a stylish and practical rucksack for use in all but the most extreme conditions. Priced at £380 from Billingham.

Using the Billingham 25 Rucksack in South Georgia
Billingham kindly provided the Billingham 25 rucksack at my request for use on a holiday to Patagonia, the Falkland Islands, South Georgia and Antarctica. I was unpaid. All views are mine alone.
