Making the Cut is the second book by Savile Row tailor Richard Anderson and it was released earlier this month by publishers Thames & Hudson at a party on Savile Row. Those who know Richard Anderson, or who've read his first book, Bespoke: Savile Row Ripped & Smoothed, will know that he started his career at Huntsman as an apprentice at 17 years old and is now one of Savile Row’s modern master cutters. Richard and his business partner, Brian Lishak, founded Richard Anderson Ltd. at 13 Savile Row in 2001.

In Making the Cut, Richard Anderson outlines the bespoke process and looks at a number of classic garments which have been made to traditional Savile Row standards, but updated with modern materials and styles. We see how the customer is measured, the pattern created and the fabric cut. The book shows, through text and images, how the highest skills of tailoring are being adapted to contemporary tastes and cloths. Highly recommended for all sartorial men and women.
