Tombag make duffel bags in East Sussex. Made from waxed canvas or tweed, there are three sizes and occasional limited editions. Their simple but robust design naturally has its roots in military kitbags. Tombag's founder, Stephen Caine, was inspired by the kitbags used by his grandfather who had served in the Royal Air Force.
I tried a small waxed bag. Beautifully made, it feels strong and unburstable while its vintage/military character means that it will only look better as it becomes worn and battered with use. It's easy to use either as a small holdall or worn over the shoulder using the canvas strap.
