Nick Hussey at FRAHM Jacket recently lent me one of his waterproof city coats to try.
Whenever I review one of his products I talk about quality of design, detail and construction and this coat is no exception. It comes in beige or dark navy and is made from a water-resistant taped material with a handsome red internal trim. Fit is roomy, stylish and pretty much perfect.

The Frahm Waterproof City Coat in action |
To differentiate this from an ordinary mackintosh it has a hood; it comes to mid-thigh - longer than most meanly-cut modern raincoats - and is vented to help breathability. Although described as a city coat, something about the hood and the cut gives it an all-terrain feel and I'd feel as happy wearing this on a dog walk with Harry as I would pacing the city streets.
Highly recommended at £495 from FRAHM Jacket.
