The blog passed its seventh birthday in December and I wanted to thank all of you for your support. Some of you have stuck with Grey Fox Blog since its early days; a great honour for me. I've enjoyed blogging from the start and, despite some frustrations, still find that there's so much to do and write about that it can be overwhelming.
I was delighted to be a finalist in the Vuelio Blog Awards in December 2018. The overall winner was the excellent Ape to Gentleman blog. To be considered alongside such a prestigious and relatively well-resourced blog (it has a team of some seven writers) was a great privilege and this wouldn't have been possible without your support here and on social media.

Have a very Happy Christmas and Prosperous New Year |
Grey Fox is still a blog in the original meaning of the word: an individual's on-line journal. I don't have a team of contributors or great resources behind me. The blog is just me and Harry the #blogdog, whose contribution can be patchy to say the least, so thank you for putting up with its many shortcomings.
I strongly believe that style is a way of life and a state of mind, not just how you look. It's about what you do, how you think, where you go on holiday, what you read, eat and drink. For this and other reasons (see here), I'm slowly growing the scope of the blog to reflect the interests of men in quality food, drink, holidays, style, gadgets (cars, watches, pens etc) and even dating (many older men and women are looking for love and companionship).
I'd be happy to focus on menswear alone, but I've found I can't do this without support from more brands. I want to wear and describe clothes from personal experience, not regurgitate news releases. In any event, the greater variety will make blogging even more fun.

Once again, many thanks for your support. As ever, keep in touch through the blog, on social media (see the links to Pinterest, Facebook and Twitter in the side bars of this blog) and by e-mail.
