Every year hundreds of all ages climb this beautiful mountain in Cumbria, England, to take part in a simple two minutes silence. Remembrance Day on Great Gable
Tuesday, 13 November 2012
Remembrance Day fell on Sunday this year and, as they do every year, The Fell and Rock Climbing Club held a ceremony to commemorate the members of the club who have fallen in war. A memorial plaque was placed at the summit of Great Gable (899m, 2949ft) in 1924.
