I posted here for the first time on 11th December 2011. I never for a moment thought that the blog would last for a year, let alone ten.
The blog has retained the theme of a search for style (this prompted the blog as I had no menswear, fashion or style expertise or experience). I developed further themes around British manufacture and the support for new, smaller and quality brands, at a later stage.
I still feel passionate about the blog, even though Instagram now takes up most of my efforts. Instagram has become more word heavy in the last few years, but a blog still provides the opportunity to write in detail about topics. I hope that I will celebrate its twentieth anniversary although I have no idea what it themes will be so far in the future. My suspicion is fewer brands will be keen to work with a blogger my age, but I am developing content around sustainability to keep myself busy. We cannot avoid the huge damage done to our environment by the fashion industry.
I'd like to thank the many of you who contact me through this blog or through Instagram with your comments, questions and thoughts - please keep in touch.
