More from London Collections:Men January 2014

Wednesday, 5 February 2014

Here are some more of the brands and labels that caught my eye away from the main catwalks of London Collections: Men earlier in January.

Lyle & Scott knitwear

Lyle & Scott showed a colourful collection, partly based (like many other labels) on their archives with much made in the UK. In one collection they have collaborated with Scottish menswear designer Jonathan Saunders to produce vibrant knitwear adding a modern twist to very traditional design. Lyle & Scott.

Dom Reilly - luggage and accessories

After a 15 year globe-trotting career in Formula 1 Dom Reilly has used his extensive experience of travel to design a range of luxury luggage and accessories. He works in partnership with the Williams F1 team and Patrick Head, the famous F1 engineer, is partner in the business. The result is a beautifully-designed and made collection of travel goods. See Dom Reilly England for more information.

Eye Respect

Mixing British and Italian design philosophies, Eye Respect make some very stylish frames and sunglasses. I'd like to cover them more comprehensively at a future date, but include a few images to give an idea of their fine collection. From Eye Respect.

Ajoto pens

Ajoto's beautiful pens are the culmination of a journey for each of their components - the provenance of which are recorded on their website - parts from the UK, Germany and Portugal come together to make objects of real beauty that are the culmination of much care and thoughtful design. They also make wallets and pen pouches.

I was really impressed by the high standards of design, the pride and care put into their products by the Ajoto team. See the website for more information.
